Dr. Mike van der Naald 

I'm currently a post-doctoral researcher in Professor Dan Needleman's group at Harvard University studying the metabolism of neurons.  In October of 2023, I graduated with my PhD in physics from the University of Chicago, working in Professor Heinrich Jaeger's lab on experiments and simulations of dense suspensions.  Prior to the University of Chicago, I majored in physics and mathematics at the University of Oregon, where I worked on simulations of dry, frictionless granular materials in Professor Eric Corwin's lab.
